What story does the olive tree have to tell us in this day and age?

We have several olive trees in our garden, all at different ages. Fruitlets are just forming. One olive tree is hidden away and it appears in this short film clip.
A friend of mine, in fact a King, was in an olive grove some 2,000 years ago – in a place called Gethsemane. Here, He sweated drops of blood for you and me while kneeling there praying to His Father. He spoke with His Father on the road ahead.
Back in 2001 I walked the road from the Old City of Jerusalem up to the Mount of Olives and passed by this Garden.
I looked over the fence and saw the gnarled olive trees. An Arab taxi driver pestered me to take a ride to the top of the Mount. Lo Tov (No Thank-you) I replied. I wanted to walk the road trodden by my Messiah.
The Olive Tree. The provider of life giving olive oil; a tree able to weather severe drought and miraculously sprout a new sprig of life from a near lifeless stump – see below.

The Romans put Yeshua (Jesus) to death and had a great stone rolled in front of the tomb. Three days later, the stone was rolled away, the angel declaring to the mourning women, He is risen!
Because He rose, you and I can also rise from the grave. This day, let us turn from the lies and deceptions of this World and place our faith and trust in Him.
