Ishay Ribo is a well known Israeli contemporary musician. Here he sings of coming home and the Father draws him. For me, there is a way home both for the Jewish people and also the Gentile. It is possible through God’s Son, Yeshua who came to make the love of Father known to us.
Bible truth: “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.” [DEUTERONOMY 7:6]
Why is Israel important to me?
Good question. My Messiah is called Yeshua though commonly known in the western world as Jesus. His Jewish disciples called him Yeshua and for me He was, is and will ever be a Jew. Yeshua’s love for His land, people and Jerusalem are obvious in all that He said and did.
in this book I try to highlight Israel’s uniqueness by selecting Bible verses that relate to these three themes. I then seek out an image I feel complements that verse.
God chose to outwork His redemptive plan for Man through this tiny nation. A redemptive plan not just for Jews but for Gentiles (non Jews) as well! Old Testament scriptures share the dramatic story of God creating this nation of Israel then providing prophecies that will authenticate a Messiah born of this nation – yet eternal in nature – to redeem us from this fallen state. This Messiah or Savior I believe is none other than God’s only Son.
Alongside this book, I created a photobook trilogy – In the Beginning (Man’s predicament) – Messiah Comes (The Good News) – and Messiah Returns (Rescue and Judgement). I like to think this trilogy complements the Israel photobook.
My wife Cheryl and I have been greatly blessed over many years with young Israelis staying with us here in New Zealand.
A blessing also for me to visit the Land of Israel in 2001 and 2008 – the latter visit with two of our children and friends. I hope that you are blessed by gaining insights into Israel, this nation created by God.
