Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. [JOHN 17:11]

All who have placed their trust in Yeshua (Jesus) are called to be in the world yet not of the world. What does this mean? Good question.
We are all born into this world. Sadly we stand under condemnation because of the fall of Adam and Eve, our forebears. We all possess a conscience which convicts us of truth and error, of right and wrong.
I realised this reality when in my teens. The God of the Bible made himself known to me through His Son in a very personal way. I realised my sinful state and repented of my sin.
I put my faith in Messiah Yeshua, and in the Gospel truth; that He died for my sins, as foretold. That He was buried and that He rose again on the third day. And that He was seen by many after His resurrection and before ascending to once again be with His Father!
Since my decision to believe in Him, I am born again! I suggest reading the third chapter of the apostle John’s gospel. Here we read of Yeshua explaining this spiritual reality of being born again to the Jewish religious leader, Nicodemus.
So I am now a pilgrim, passing through this world. Called to continue dwelling in this world serving My Master in whatever way He choses. Yeshua shared these words with His disciples just before His crucifixion:
Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. [John 17:11].
My hope is founded in Him and on a new heaven and a new earth that He is creating for all who believe in Him. Here there will be a new and eternal Garden of Eden!
To finish, here’s a great song sung by Malcolm and Alwyn called Fool’s Wisdom. Contained in this dusty and worn book is a black and white portrait of a King who’s a friend of mine.
